Popular R&B singer Chris Brown has taken legal action against Warner Bros., filing a lawsuit worth $500 million. According to Variety, Chris Brown accuses the documentary’s producers of libel (publishing false information) and causing emotional distress. He states that the allegations made in the documentary are baseless and misleading.

The lawsuit claims that Warner Bros. and Ample LLC were warned in October 2024 that they were spreading false information. Despite this, they aired the documentary on October 27, 2024. Brown’s legal team argues that the documentary was created for profit and publicity at the cost of his image.

The documentary includes allegations of sexual assault and other accusations against Chris Brown. The lawsuit claims that these accusations have been discredited multiple times. Additionally, Brown’s legal team states that one of the individuals making allegations in the documentary was actually an aggressor in an intimate partner violence case.

While the lawsuit strongly denies the claims in the documentary, it also acknowledges that Chris Brown has made mistakes in the past. The singer has previously addressed his past legal troubles in his 2017 documentary, Chris Brown: Welcome to My Life. However, his legal team argues that he has grown and changed since then.
