Akshay Kumar and Tabu, two of Bollywood’s most iconic actors, are teaming up again for the much-awaited film Bhooth Bangla, directed by Priyadarshan. The duo, who have previously worked together on hits like Hera Pheri, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, and Garam Masala, are set to create more magic on screen after nearly two decades.
Akshay Kumar, Tabu Reunite for Bhooth Bangla
On January 15, 2025, Balaji Motion Pictures shared a special photo on their social media, showing Akshay and Tabu sharing a warm hug on the sets of Bhooth Bangla in Jaipur. The actors were all smiles in the photo, excited to reunite for the project. Akshay was dressed in a black hoodie, while Tabu looked stunning in a purple one. The caption of the post read, “Some things get better and iconic with time!

A few days before this, Tabu also shared a glimpse from the film’s sets, showing a clapperboard with the title Bhooth Bangla and candles placed in the background. She teased her followers with the caption, “Hum yahan bandh hain,” meaning “We are trapped here,” adding an element of mystery to the film.
Bhooth Bangla is a horror-comedy film, and fans are eagerly waiting to see this famous pair return to the big screen. Priyadarshan, known for his excellent directorial skills, is collaborating with Akshay and Tabu once again, a pairing that has delivered many successful films in the past.
The film was announced in September 2024 and is being produced by Ekta Kapoor. It is set to release on April 2, 2026, making it a highly anticipated project for fans of Akshay, Tabu, and Priyadarshan.
