Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri and producer Bhushan Kumar have officially announced their new Bollywood film Operation Sindoor. The film is inspired by India’s strong military action against terror camps and aims to present a powerful story on the big screen.
What Is Operation Sindoor Film About
Operation Sindoor will focus on India’s targeted strikes on terror infrastructure across the border. The story is inspired by real events that took place after a tragic terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, in 2025.
The film is based on the book Operation Sindoor: The Untold Story of India’s Deep Strikes Inside Pakistan written by Lt Gen K.J.S. Dhillon. The makers want to show how these events became a major moment in India’s history, highlighting courage, planning, and precision.
Vivek Agnihotri’s Vision for Operation Sindoor
Vivek Agnihotri, known for films like The Kashmir Files and The Tashkent Files, shared that this project is very important to him. He said that some stories choose the filmmaker, and this is one such story.
He explained that the film will go beyond what people already know. His team has done detailed research with different parts of the Indian Armed Forces to understand every detail. He wants to present the story with honesty and depth, while also making it engaging for viewers.
Bhushan Kumar’s Production Plans
Bhushan Kumar will produce the film under T-Series, along with Vivek Agnihotri’s banner I Am Buddha Productions. He described Operation Sindoor as more than just a movie, calling it an important story that needed to be told.
