The teaser of Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film Bhooth Bangla has been officially released, giving viewers a glimpse of a horror comedy filled with humour and spooky moments. The film is directed by Priyadarshan, known for his popular comedy films in Bollywood.
The teaser runs for a little over a minute and introduces the strange and mysterious world of the film. It shows a haunted mansion, funny moments, and hints of a ghostly presence. With a mix of comedy and suspense, the teaser reminds viewers of the classic style seen in Priyadarshan’s earlier films.
Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan Reunite After 14 Years
One of the biggest highlights of Bhooth Bangla is the reunion of Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan. The actor and filmmaker have worked together on several popular movies in the past.
Their last collaboration was the 2010 film Khatta Meetha. After 14 years, they have come together again for this horror comedy project. The teaser shows Akshay Kumar in a lively role, bringing back his familiar comic timing that audiences have enjoyed in earlier films.

Teaser Shows Ghost Mystery and Comedy
The teaser begins with the introduction of a mysterious curse connected to a place called Mangalpuri. Veteran actor Asrani appears in the opening moment explaining the legend of the ghost known as Vadhusur.
As the teaser continues, viewers get quick glimpses of several characters and scenes inside the haunted mansion. The visuals show both funny and spooky moments, hinting that the story will combine horror elements with comedy.
Actors Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Wamiqa Gabbi and Rajpal Yadav also appear in the film, making it a strong ensemble cast.
Akshay Kumar Shares First Look of His Character
Before the teaser launch, the makers had released a motion poster showing Akshay Kumar in an unusual look. In the poster, the actor is seen sitting on a dark and mysterious throne decorated with eerie faces.
He appears shirtless while wearing black sunglasses and several Rudraksha bead necklaces, giving him a look similar to a tantrik. The unusual appearance created curiosity about his character in the film.
New Release Date Confirmed
The makers have also confirmed that Bhooth Bangla will release in theatres on April 10, 2026. The film was earlier planned to release on May 15 but the date has been moved earlier.
The movie is presented by Balaji Motion Pictures in association with Cape of Good Films. It is produced by Akshay Kumar, Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor.
With a mix of horror, comedy and a large star cast, Bhooth Bangla aims to bring back the entertaining style of Priyadarshan’s classic films while giving audiences a fun theatrical experience.
