There had been speculation that the film might revolve around a story connected to Alzheimer’s disease, similar to the theme believed to be part of Saiyaara. Aamir dismissed this comparison and said that Ek Din follows a different narrative.

The film “Ek Din” is directed by Sunil Pandey and is a remake of the romantic drama “One Day,” which was released in 2016.
The movie will also mark an important milestone for actress Sai Pallavi, as it will be her Bollywood debut. Sai Pallavi is already well known for her work in South Indian cinema and has built a strong reputation through several successful films. The romantic drama Ek Din is scheduled to release in theatres on May 1, 2026.
