Mumbai Crime Branch Issues LOC Against Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Member In Ranveer Singh Threat Case

The Ranveer Singh threat case has taken a serious turn as the Mumbai Crime Branch has issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) against a suspected member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The person named in the LOC is Harichandra, also known as Harry Boxer. He is believed to be linked to an extortion threat made to Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh.

This step is part of an ongoing investigation into threats targeting well-known personalities from the film industry.

₹20 Crore Extortion Threat To Ranveer Singh

Ranveer Singh reportedly received a threatening WhatsApp voice note on his manager’s phone. In the audio message, the sender identified himself as Harry Boxer and demanded ₹20 crore. The message was allegedly sent using a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to hide the sender’s identity and location.

Police have recorded the statement of Ranveer Singh’s manager as part of the investigation. The voice sample has been sent for verification to confirm the identity of the person behind the message.

The case is being handled by the Anti-Extortion Cell of the Mumbai Crime Branch.

Link To Lawrence Bishnoi Gang

Investigators suspect that the threat may be connected to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which has previously been linked to incidents involving members of the film industry. The issuance of the Look Out Circular means that authorities are alert at airports and border points to track the movement of the accused.

Officials believe that the threats may be part of a larger pattern of intimidation targeting celebrities.

Connection With Rohit Shetty Firing Case

The development comes during the ongoing probe into the firing incident outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s residence in Juhu. Several accused have already been arrested in that case, including the alleged main shooter.

The Mumbai Police have invoked sections of the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) in the Rohit Shetty case. So far, multiple individuals have been taken into custody, and investigations are continuing to understand the full network involved.

Authorities are examining whether the threat to Ranveer Singh and the firing incident are part of a coordinated attempt to create fear among film personalities.

Security Concerns For Bollywood Celebrities

The Ranveer Singh threat case highlights growing security concerns for Bollywood actors. Over the past few months, several high-profile names have reportedly received threats.

With the Look Out Circular now issued, the Mumbai Crime Branch is intensifying efforts to trace the accused and ensure the safety of those targeted.

As the investigation moves forward, more details are expected to emerge about the alleged gang involvement and the motive behind the extortion threat.
