The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has taken strict action against Aditya Dhar’s production company, B62 Productions, over alleged violations on the set of his upcoming film Dhurandhar: The Revenge. The civic body has blacklisted the production house, imposed a penalty of ₹1 lakh, and forfeited a security deposit of ₹25,000.
Violation During Film Shoot
The controversy began when a local resident raised a complaint about the use of fire torches during the shooting in Mumbai. The BMC noted that the team was verbally warned to stop using fire until the shoot was completed. However, the police later seized five fire torches from the location, indicating non-compliance with the guidelines.
The BMC’s A-ward maintenance staff prepared a proposal and submitted it to the Deputy Municipal Commissioner (Zone 1). The recommendations included –
- Forfeiture of the ₹25,000 security deposit held on the online permission platform.
- Blacklisting of applicants Komal Pokhariyal and Nasir Khan, along with B62 Productions.
- Imposing a ₹1 lakh penalty for violating the safety undertaking.
The civic body clarified that the production house is now barred from applying for any permissions through the Maharashtra Film City online facility due to these violations.
