Stacie Orrico Files Childhood Sexual Abuse Lawsuit Against Manager

Singer Stacie Orrico, best known for her early 2000s hit songs like “(There’s Gotta Be) More to Life” and “Stuck,” has filed a serious lawsuit against her former manager. In the lawsuit, Orrico claims she was sexually abused multiple times during her teenage years while working in the music industry. The case was filed in Los Angeles on January 6, 2026. She has also named several music companies, accusing them of failing to protect her when she was a child.

According to the lawsuit, Orrico says the abuse happened over several years in what she describes as a nonconsensual relationship. She claims her former manager, Britt Ham, abused his position of power and control while she was still a minor. Orrico says that instead of protecting her, people around her chose to ignore warning signs and focused more on money and reputation than her safety. She says this caused her deep emotional pain and long-lasting harm.

In a statement shared publicly, Orrico said the music industry failed her when she was very young. She explained that it took many years of therapy and personal struggle for her to feel strong enough to speak out. She said she is now ready to fight not just for herself, but for other young people who may have been abused in similar situations. Her lawsuit includes claims of childhood sexual abuse, sexual battery, negligence, and gender violence.

The lawsuit describes how Orrico entered the music industry at a very young age after winning a Christian music competition. She says she trusted the adults around her, including her manager and record label. The complaint claims the abuse first happened when she was just 14 years old during a business trip. It also alleges that some people noticed inappropriate behavior but failed to take action to stop it.

Today, Stacie Orrico is a married mother of two and no longer active in the music industry. However, she says the trauma still affects her life, causing anxiety, depression, and loss of self-confidence. She is seeking unspecified damages and has requested a jury trial. Through this lawsuit, Orrico hopes to find accountability and bring attention to the need for better protection of young artists in the entertainment industry.
