Disney has officially announced the stars of its upcoming live-action movie Tangled, and fans are already excited. Actors Milo Manheim and Teagan Croft have been cast as Flynn Rider and Rapunzel. These roles were originally voiced by Zachary Levi and Mandy Moore in the 2010 animated film. Disney confirmed the casting on January 7, 2026, and both actors shared their happiness on social media. Milo commented that he had “seen the light,” while Teagan jokingly acted surprised about her casting.
Meet Milo Manheim and Teagan Croft in Tangled
Milo Manheim is best known for playing Zed in Disney’s popular Zombies movie series. He is the son of actress Camryn Manheim. Milo started acting at a young age and appeared on TV with his mother in Ghost Whisperer. In 2018, he became very popular after finishing second on Dancing With the Stars. He also showed his singing talent in the movie Journey to Bethlehem and later performed on stage in Little Shop of Horrors, proving he is a strong choice for the charming Flynn Rider.
Teagan Croft is an Australian actress who became famous for playing Raven in the DC series Titans. She started her career in Australian films and TV shows, including Home and Away. Teagan gained more attention in 2023 when she starred in True Spirit, playing real-life sailor Jessica Watson. Her acting experience and strong screen presence make her a good fit for the role of Rapunzel.
The live-action Tangled will be directed by Michael Gracey, known for The Greatest Showman. The script is written by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, who worked on Thor: Love and Thunder. While fans are hoping for new songs, Disney has not yet confirmed if the original music team will return. The role of Mother Gothel has also not been announced yet.
