British police have charged comedian and actor Russell Brand with two more serious sex-related offenses. These latest charges come after earlier accusations filed in April 2025. In that case, Russell Brand was charged with five offenses involving four other women. Those earlier charges included two counts of rape, one count of indecent assault, and two counts of sexual assault. The alleged incidents date back more than 20 years. The Crown Prosecution Service approved the new charges after reviewing evidence provided by investigators.

Russell Brand, who is now 50 years old, is expected to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on January 20 in connection with the new charges. Meanwhile, a trial for the earlier five charges is scheduled to begin on June 16 at Southwark Crown Court in London. Brand had previously appeared in court in May, where he pleaded not guilty to all the original accusations made against him.

Brand has strongly denied all claims of non-consensual sexual activity. After the first set of charges became public, he said that while he had made mistakes in his younger years and struggled with sex addiction, he was never a rapist. He has maintained his innocence throughout the investigation. Reuters reported that attempts were made to contact Brand for comment following the new charges, but no response was received.

As the legal process continues, the court will examine the evidence, and Brand remains innocent under the law until proven guilty.
