Raymond Lam Reveals Sequel Timeline, Intensive Training, and Tokyo Concert Plans for Next Year

Hong Kong star Raymond Lam has shared exciting updates about his upcoming projects. He revealed that the sequel to his popular Kowloon Walled City film series is expected to begin filming in March next year. Before shooting starts, Lam will go through two months of intensive action training. At the same time, he is preparing for a major concert in Tokyo, which will take place at the end of January.

Raymond Lam’s popularity in Japan has grown rapidly after the success of Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In. The film created strong interest in the Kowloon Walled City story and helped Lam gain many new fans overseas. As part of his world tour, he will perform at Tokyo Garden Theater, and fans are eagerly waiting for the show. Lam said the love and support from Japanese audiences have deeply touched him.

Talking about the sequel, Lam explained that the director has given him a special task to prepare for tougher action scenes. He will train under action director Kenji Tanigaki, spending much more time than he did for the first movie. Lam promised that the sequel will feature more powerful fight scenes and higher physical demands. To match his character Chan Lok-kwun, he even shaved his head, which is different from the original comic version.

Besides films, Lam is also planning surprises for his Tokyo concert. He shared that his close friend Tony Wu will join him as a guest performer. Lam is also preparing a Japanese-language performance of Leslie Cheung’s famous song Monica, which he hopes will delight fans in Japan. He said music allows him to connect with audiences in a special and emotional way.
