Thai actor Dunk Natachai was unable to attend his fan party in Singapore due to last-minute “documentation issues,” leaving fans disappointed. The event, organized by The Shilla Duty Free Singapore on December 13, was supposed to feature Dunk as the main star. However, his management agency, GMMTV, announced at the last minute that he could not attend due to unforeseen circumstances. To ensure the fans were still entertained, fellow Thai actor Tay Tawan stepped in on very short notice.
Dunk Natachai Asks Tay Tawan to Care Fans
Tay Tawan, 34, described how he found out about the event the very morning he was supposed to fly to Singapore. “I woke up at 10 a.m. wanting to sleep more, but my driver told me it was urgent. I needed to go to Singapore immediately,” Tay recalled. Dunk personally called Tay before the event and asked him to “take good care of my fans,” to which Tay promised he would do his best. Despite the sudden arrangement, Tay quickly prepared for the event and embraced the responsibility.

During the fan party, Dunk made a surprise video call to personally explain his absence. He reassured fans that he was in good health and apologized for not being able to attend in person. Fans were understanding but also expressed frustration online about the lack of clear communication regarding the change. Many comments urged the management team to handle future events with more professionalism and transparency, so that fans and the artists would not face confusion.
Tay Tawan impressed the audience with his impromptu performance, singing his single No More and a cover of Too Close to Handle by Thai actor-singer Gemini. He also interacted actively with fans through games, quizzes, and a “telepathy” challenge, followed by a photo-taking session. Tay’s quick adaptation and cheerful attitude helped maintain a lively and enjoyable atmosphere, earning praise from both fans and Dunk himself, who called Tay “very professional” for handling the situation so well.

Their efforts highlighted the importance of professionalism, adaptability, and the strong bond between artists and their supporters.
