As she grew older, Jodie said her addiction became more serious. She explained that she often believed her life was heading toward only three possible outcomes: going to jail, ending up in a hospital, or dying. By her mid-20s, she did not think she would reach age 30. Her life felt chaotic and hopeless, and she struggled to imagine a future for herself. Despite her success on television, she felt lost and unable to break free from destructive habits.

Everything changed when Jodie discovered she was pregnant with her first daughter, Zoie, at age 26. She said that moment forced her to rethink her choices. For the first time, she felt responsible for someone other than herself. The thought of becoming a mother made her realize she needed to stop partying and start rebuilding her life. She admitted the journey was not perfect, but it marked the beginning of real change.
