Actor Kevin Spacey, once one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, says he is now living a very unstable life while trying to recover from the career damage caused by past allegations. In a new interview, the 66-year-old Oscar winner explained that he has been staying in hotels and Airbnb rentals because he has no permanent home. Spacey shared that his financial situation is difficult and that he is simply going wherever he can find work.

The interview was published by The Telegraph, where Spacey was speaking from Cyprus. He is currently performing as a nightclub singer, far from the major Hollywood projects he once led. Spacey has struggled to return to the industry since 2017, when actor Anthony Rapp accused him of making a sexual advance in 1986. Even though a civil jury ruled in Spacey’s favor, the accusation opened the door for more people to come forward with similar claims. Spacey admitted to being “too handsy” in the past but has denied committing any serious wrongdoing.

During the interview, Spacey compared his situation to the Hollywood blacklist during the 1950s, when artists were banned from the industry over political accusations. He said that all it takes is one powerful figure to give him another chance, just as actor Kirk Douglas once helped blacklisted writer Dalton Trumbo return to Hollywood. Spacey believes that if a major director like Martin Scorsese or Quentin Tarantino called him, his career could recover quickly.
Spacey also pointed out that no criminal court has ever found him guilty. He was acquitted in London in 2023 of charges involving four men. In another case in Massachusetts, prosecutors dropped charges in 2019 after concerns about missing phone messages. Supporters at his nightclub performance in Cyprus even defended him, saying that being acquitted should have been enough to clear his name.

Despite everything, Spacey remains hopeful. He believes a comeback is still possible and that one day he will return to major films and television. For now, he continues to perform wherever he can, moving from one temporary home to another while waiting for the right opportunity. Spacey says he is determined to rebuild his life and career, and he is confident that his moment of redemption will eventually arrive.
