During the premiere, the intruder, Johnson Wen also known online as “Pyjama Man” jumped over a barrier and ran toward Ariana Grande. Cynthia immediately stepped in to protect her friend. When speaking about the moment, Cynthia said the experience showed how close they had become as colleagues and friends. As she talked, Ariana sat quietly and later became emotional, showing how deeply the incident affected her.
Cynthia also shared how meaningful it has been to work on Wicked: For Good. She said many people see themselves in the characters and feel safe and supported through the story. According to her, this movie has helped the cast grow not only as performers but also as people. She added that the closeness among the team is rare and special, calling it a “family” that she will truly miss once filming ends.

The intruder involved in the Singapore incident has a history of crashing major events. He previously disrupted concerts by Katy Perry and The Weeknd and even caused trouble during the Paris Olympics. After the Ariana Grande incident, he was charged with public nuisance on Nov 14 and sentenced to nine days in jail. Strangely, he later posted on Instagram thanking Ariana and sharing a video of the moment, showing no regret for his actions.
