Popular K-pop girl group NewJeans is officially returning to their music label Ador after months of legal battles and uncertainty. The news comes after all five members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein expressed their decision to continue working with the label, following a recent court ruling that confirmed their contracts with Ador will remain valid until 2029.

While Ador confirmed the return of Haerin and Hyein, it said it was still verifying the authenticity of the statement released by the other three members. However, fans celebrated the news online, expressing relief that the popular K-pop group would be reunited and continue their music journey as one team. The group also promised fans they would come back with “sincere music and performances.”
Former Ador CEO Min Hee-jin, who played a major role in NewJeans’ success and creative direction, also shared a heartfelt message supporting the group’s decision. Although she was dismissed from her position in August 2024 after disputes with parent company Hybe, Min said she respected the members’ choice and wished them happiness. She emphasized that NewJeans should always remain together as five members and continue growing stronger as artists.

The conflict between Ador and NewJeans started in April 2024, when Hybe accused Min Hee-jin of trying to take control of the label. The group sided with Min, claiming that her removal affected their trust in Hybe and their creative freedom. However, the court later ruled against the group, stating their contracts were still valid. Now that the legal battle has settled, fans hope NewJeans can move forward and focus on their music once again.
