Jennifer Lawrence Reveals Past Male Co-Stars ‘Punished’ Her After She Rejected Their Advances

Jennifer Lawrence Says Male Co-Stars Punished Her

Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence has opened up about uncomfortable experiences with some of her past male co-stars. The 35-year-old actress revealed that a few male actors would “punish” her if she rejected their romantic or sexual advances. Jennifer made these comments during an appearance on the Las Culturistas podcast, hosted by comedians Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers, while discussing intimacy on movie sets and her new film “Die My Love.”

Jennifer Lawrence Says Male Co-Stars Punished Her

Jennifer explained that she didn’t need an intimacy coordinator for her latest film, which co-stars Robert Pattinson, 39, but clarified that he was not one of the men who had mistreated her. “A lot of male actors get offended if you don’t want to sleep with them. And then the punishment starts,” she said. The hosts reacted with surprise, while Jennifer added humorously, “I’ve just heard of this, I’ve never experienced it,” in a joking tone.

Speaking about her work with Robert Pattinson, Jennifer said she felt completely safe and respected on set. “He’s not pervy and very in love with his partner, Suki Waterhouse,” she shared. The two often talked about their kids and relationships during filming. “So there wasn’t any weird feeling like, ‘Does he think I like him?’” she added. Jennifer mentioned that she would only have wanted an intimacy coordinator if any such awkwardness had existed.

Her new movie, “Die My Love,” directed by Lynne Ramsay, is based on the 2012 novel by Ariana Harwicz. It tells the emotional story of a woman struggling with mental health and marriage after becoming a mother. The film released in cinemas on November 7, and critics are already praising Lawrence’s powerful performance.
