Famous filmmaker Quentin Tarantino has released a brand-new version of his classic action film Kill Bill. Titled Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, this version combines Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003) and Vol. 2 (2004) into one continuous movie. The new release also includes a never-before-seen anime sequence. The full movie is over four hours long (281 minutes), and audiences will get a 15-minute intermission during the screening. Lionsgate will release it exclusively in theaters starting December 5, 2025.

The story of Kill Bill follows Uma Thurman as The Bride, a former assassin who is left for dead after her boss and ex-lover, Bill, attacks her wedding rehearsal. She also loses her unborn child in the attack. The film follows The Bride as she seeks revenge, hunting down the remaining members of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad before confronting Bill. Tarantino’s direction combines action, drama, and humor, making the film one of his most famous works.
Tarantino has long talked about the possibility of a third installment, which would continue the story 20 years after Vol. 2. In this hypothetical sequel, The Bride and her daughter, B.B. Kiddo, would be living in peace before being chased by assassins. Tarantino even mentioned casting Maya Hawke, Uma Thurman’s real-life daughter, in the role of B.B. However, there are no current plans to make a sequel, as the director plans to conclude his career with a 10th original project unrelated to the Kill Bill universe.
