The much-awaited Telugu film Mass Jathara, starring Ravi Teja and Sreeleela, is creating strong buzz ahead of its release. According to a report by Sacnilk.com, the movie has earned an impressive ₹62.12 lakh from advance bookings, selling over 46,000 tickets across India. The film’s makers have scheduled its release for 6 pm on Friday to avoid a clash with the re-release of Baahubali The Epic.

Directed and written by Bhanu Bhogavarapu, Mass Jathara promises a mix of action, emotion, and entertainment. It is jointly produced by Naga Vamsi S and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. The production house shared its excitement on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “This is just the beginning of the MASS Mania! #MassJathara is trending and setting the tone for an explosive box-office ride.” The film’s early booking numbers indicate that Ravi Teja’s fans are eagerly waiting for the grand premiere.
Interestingly, Mass Jathara is releasing on the same day as the re-release of SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali The Epic, which is a combined version of Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion. Trade experts believe that Baahubali The Epic could earn more than ₹10 crore worldwide in pre-sales alone. Despite this major competition, Mass Jathara has managed to pull in a solid audience, especially in Telugu-speaking regions.

In the film, Ravi Teja plays a railway police officer known for his sense of justice and bravery. His character gets involved in a large-scale drug bust, putting him face-to-face with a dangerous criminal syndicate led by Naveen Chandra, whose unusual weapon is a snake. Sreeleela plays Ravi Teja’s love interest, while Rajendra Prasad adds humor and heart as the actor’s quirky grandfather.
