The makers have announced that Baahubali – The Epic, a combined version of both parts of the blockbuster franchise, will release on October 31, 2025. The film will be shown on 150 IMAX screens worldwide, including all 34 IMAX screens in India, making it the biggest IMAX re-release ever for an Indian film. This special edition aims to give audiences a once-in-a-lifetime cinematic experience.
Baahubali – The Epic releasing on 150 IMAX screens
Producer Shobu Yarlagadda revealed in an interview that the re-release was planned to allow a new generation of fans to experience Baahubali on the big screen. He said that when the first film was released in 2015, they could not release it in IMAX format, but this time they are fulfilling that dream. The goal is to present the story with improved visuals and sound quality for those who have only watched it on phones or TVs.
Directed by SS Rajamouli, Baahubali – The Epic combines both Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali: The Conclusion (2017) into one seamless 3-hour-and-45-minute film. The movie stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, and Sathyaraj in key roles. The story of Amarendra Baahubali and Bhallaladeva’s rivalry, along with the emotional journey of Devasena and Sivagami, remains one of India’s greatest cinematic tales.
