Bollywood fans are in for an exciting clash of stars! Director Anees Bazmee, known for his hit comedies like No Entry, Welcome, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, is planning a new film titled “Ram Aur Shyam.” According to reports, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, and Kartik Aaryan are the top contenders to play the lead role.

Although the movie’s title reminds everyone of Dilip Kumar’s 1967 classic “Ram Aur Shyam,” sources have confirmed that this will not be a remake. Instead, Bazmee wants to create a fresh story with a double-role concept, bringing his signature comedy style to a modern audience.
A close source revealed that the movie is currently in the final stages of development and may begin shooting early next year. The plot will likely revolve around two contrasting characters played by the same actor, offering plenty of opportunities for humor and drama.

However, finalizing the lead actor might take time because all three stars have busy schedules. Ranveer Singh will start filming Don 3 in January, Kartik Aaryan is tied up with Naagzilla, and Ranbir Kapoor will soon begin work on Dhoom 4 after finishing Love & War. Interestingly, actor Shahid Kapoor is also being considered if the dates don’t work out for the other three.
Among the choices, Kartik Aaryan is said to be a strong favorite because of his successful collaborations with Bazmee in the past, especially in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and 3. The filmmaker reportedly wants to capture the same energy and comic timing that made those films such hits.
