Kannada actress Divya Suresh has been booked by the Bengaluru Police after being identified as the alleged driver in a hit-and-run accident that injured three people earlier this month. The incident took place in Byatarayanapura, West Bengaluru, during the early hours of October 4, 2025.

According to the police report, three people — Kiran (25) and his cousins Anusha (24) and Anitha (33) were travelling on a motorcycle when a speeding black car rammed into them near a junction and fled the spot. The impact threw all three riders onto the road. Anitha suffered a fractured leg and had to undergo surgery at BGS Hospital, while the other two escaped with minor injuries.
Police registered a case on October 7 under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for rash driving and endangering life or personal safety, along with sections of the Motor Vehicles Act. Investigators examined CCTV footage from cameras along the route and managed to trace the black car involved in the crash. The footage clearly showed that the vehicle was registered in Divya Suresh’s name, and preliminary evidence suggested that she herself was driving at the time of the accident.

Officials confirmed that the car has been seized for forensic tests, and police are now checking whether the actress tried to flee the city or hide information about the case. A senior officer stated that the investigation is still underway and that the police have collected enough material evidence to move forward.
Meanwhile, the victims’ families are relieved that everyone survived but are disappointed that the driver allegedly left the scene without helping. Police will soon question Divya Suresh formally to determine if negligent or drunken driving was involved.
