The teaser introduced Prabhas with the title “India’s Biggest Superstar”, a claim that has stirred reactions, especially from fans of Shah Rukh Khan.

The teaser, described as a “sound story”, gave the audience the first glimpse of the much-anticipated film, and excitement among Prabhas’ fans was high. However, the way he was introduced in the teaser triggered a debate online, with some fans of other Bollywood stars finding it disrespectful.

Legacy isn’t declared in posters, it’s earned over decades of magic, charm, and global love.” Another tweeted a humorous meme calling Prabhas a “Ghante ka biggest superstar,” referring to the title as short-lived. Shah Rukh Khan is known for his massive box-office successes, including hits like Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki, two of which grossed over ₹1000 crore.
On the other hand, Prabhas fans welcomed the title and defended it. Many felt it was well-deserved, pointing to his pan-India popularity and recent box-office successes. They praised his work in films like Salaar and Kalki 2898 AD, both of which were commercially successful. Fans argued that Prabhas’ rise to fame, especially after the Baahubali franchise, proves that he has become a superstar with nationwide appeal.
Prabhas gained nationwide fame with SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali films, which together earned over ₹2400 crore worldwide. Although some of his later films like Saaho, Radhe Shyam, and Adipurush did not perform well, his recent success has reignited his popularity across India.

The film Spirit also stars Vivek Oberoi and Triptii Dimri, and is highly anticipated by fans. Before Spirit, Prabhas will appear in The RajaSaab, directed by Maruthi, featuring Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan, and Nidhhi Agerwal, releasing on January 9, 2026.
