Dhruv Vikram Talks About Being Star Kid and Hard Work

During the press event, Dhruv admitted that being a star kid has given him some opportunities in the film industry. However, he emphasized that he is ready to work hard and prove himself to earn acceptance from the audience. He said, “It’s true that I’m a star kid, and I am able to get opportunities. But I am willing to do whatever it takes for the people to accept me, to love me, to love my work, and for me to find a place in Tamil, Telugu, and Indian cinema. Until then, I think I will continue to work.”

Talking specifically about Bison, Dhruv revealed that he prepared for the role as if he were an outsider, giving his best effort to match the dedication of anyone who did not have a film background. The movie is based on the life of kabaddi player Manathi Ganesan and tells the story of a man who overcomes challenges, including caste-based discrimination, to succeed in sports. Dhruv said he constantly reminded himself of the effort a regular actor or sportsman would put in such a situation, and tried to match it.

Dhruv and Anupama Parameswaran play the lead roles in Bison Kaalamaadan, alongside actors like Pasupathy, Ameer, Lal, Rajisha Vijayan, and Azhagam Perumal. The film is produced by Sameer Nair, Deepak Seigal, Pa Ranjith, and Aditi Anand under Applause Entertainment and Neelam Studios.

His approach shows that while family connections may open doors, talent, preparation, and consistent effort remain key to a lasting career.
