Actor and filmmaker Pradeep Ranganathan recently faced criticism when someone called him “not hero material” during a press event in Hyderabad. Nagarjuna Praises Pradeep Ranganathan as Hero

While promoting his upcoming Diwali release “Dude”, Pradeep was asked a harsh question about his looks and whether his success was due to luck or hard work. Before he could respond, his co-star Sarathkumar defended him, saying that every person who inspires others is a hero and that there are no fixed rules for how a hero should look.

Pradeep later answered calmly, saying that his success is a result of hard work, God’s grace, and people’s love. He added, “I think audiences see themselves in me. When they watch my films, they feel like they are the hero. That’s why I’m already one in their eyes.” His humble and thoughtful response won hearts across social media.

Meanwhile, actor Kiran Abbavaram also defended Pradeep, criticizing the reporter who made the remark. He said that it is wrong to body shame or insult an artist who is simply promoting his film. Pradeep Ranganathan’s next movie, “Dude”, directed by Keerthiswaran and co-starring Mamitha Baiju, will hit theatres on October 17, 2025.
