The series is adapted from the famous Danish show Forbrydelsen (The Killing) and brings a similar dark, tense atmosphere to an Indian setting. The story begins with the brutal rape and murder of a teenage girl named Naina. As the investigation unfolds, it exposes political secrets, family tensions, and human weaknesses.

Konkona Sensharma plays Sanyukta, a sharp and focused police officer who is about to move to another city with her husband Bheesham (Mukul Chadda). However, Naina’s murder case changes everything, forcing her to stay and find justice. She is teamed up with a new officer, Jai (Surya Sharma), who is arrogant and impulsive, creating an interesting clash of personalities.

Director Rohan Sippy has handled the story skillfully, balancing suspense with emotional depth. The show captures how people hide their true selves behind social masks, making it more than just a murder mystery. The interactions between characters, police officers, politicians, and families are filled with tension and secrets.

While the show builds a strong connection with its lead characters, it could have shown more emotion for Naina and her grieving parents. Still, the series succeeds in keeping viewers hooked till the end. The biggest twist comes when the story stops on a cliffhanger after six episodes, leaving fans eagerly waiting for the next part.
