Tollywood actor Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas has made a bold promise while promoting his upcoming movie Kishkindhapuri. The actor said in an interview that he would quit the film industry if the audience is not engaged in the movie. His statement has created quite a buzz among fans and on social media.
Bellamkonda Sreenivas Vows To Quit Acting
During promotions, Bellamkonda Sreenivas explained his belief about cinema. According to him, a successful film is one that keeps the audience so involved that they do not feel like checking their phones during the screening. He challenged that if any viewer looks at their phone within the first ten minutes of Kishkindhapuri, he would walk away from films completely. The actor added that the team has worked very hard on the story, sound, and overall experience, and he is confident the movie will hold everyone’s attention.
His bold statement led to mixed reactions online. Some fans praised his confidence and compared it to other actors who had shown similar faith in their films. Others took it lightly and made jokes, saying that many stars in the past had made such promises but continued to act even after their films failed. A few even teased that if the movie flops, Sreenivas might claim he meant leaving Bollywood, not Tollywood.
Kishkindhapuri is directed by Koushik Peggalapati and stars Anupama Parameswaran in the lead alongside Sreenivas. The film is set to release on 12 September 2025, and it will face direct competition from Mirai, starring Teja Sajja, Manchu Manoj, and Ritika Nayak. Talking about this clash, Sreenivas said he was disappointed because his team had originally planned for a solo release on that date. He also expressed that the other film’s makers should have at least discussed the release schedule with them before announcing their date.
