In an interview with ETimes, Amol Parashar decided to address the matter, though in a light-hearted way. “Today, I will choose not to answer. But don’t hate me if I change my mind in a week,” he joked. He explained that their appearance at the event was casual and included friends and family members. “People made it official. It was not a statement of any kind,” he added, making it clear that there was no announcement behind their joint appearance.
Amol also shared his thoughts about how the entertainment industry often uses personal lives to create headlines. He revealed that publicity teams sometimes encourage actors to play along with relationship rumours to stay in the news. “Even if relationships don’t exist, they’ll make them up. PRs have suggested this to me before,” he admitted. However, he stressed that he would rather be known for his acting than his personal life, saying, “I want people to talk about my work.”
The actor also reflected on the challenges of fame and privacy. He noted that once an actor reaches a certain stage in their career, people naturally become curious about their personal life. “You can’t fight it,” he said, though he acknowledged the fear of being defined by a relationship. “Maybe the fear is that the relationship will become part of my entire personality,” Amol explained.
