The Mumbai Police have issued a Lookout Circular (LOC) against Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and her businessman husband Raj Kundra. The action comes in connection with a ₹60 crore cheating case registered last month.

According to officials, the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Mumbai Police issued the LOC because the couple often travels abroad. An LOC is a special alert issued to prevent people under investigation from leaving the country without informing the authorities. It is usually shared with airports and immigration checkpoints.

The case was registered on August 14 at the Juhu police station. A businessman filed a complaint claiming that Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra cheated him of nearly ₹60 crore in a loan-cum-investment deal. He alleged that the couple promised high returns but did not keep their word, leading to heavy financial losses.
This is not the first time Raj Kundra has faced legal trouble. In the past, he was investigated in a money laundering case, and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had also summoned him for questioning. Now, with the LOC issued, both he and Shilpa Shetty will have to stay in India until the case moves forward.

Officials explained that the LOC is a precautionary step, as the couple frequently takes international trips. If they attempt to leave the country, airport authorities will be alerted immediately, and police action can follow.
The complaint has drawn wide media attention because Shilpa Shetty is a well-known actress and public figure. She has acted in several successful films and is also seen as a fitness icon. Raj Kundra, meanwhile, is known for his business ventures but has often been surrounded by controversy.
