Boney Kapoor Challenges Fraudulent Claims on Late Wife Sridevi’s Chennai Property in Court

Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor has approached the Madras High Court to contest claims made on a Chennai property owned by his late wife, Sridevi. He stated that three individuals are trying to make a fraudulent claim on the farmhouse Sridevi purchased in 1988. Boney requested the court to cancel the legal heirship certificate issued in favor of these three claimants.

Sridevi had bought the Chennai property in April 1988 and had full possession of it along with her family. The original owner, MC Sambanda Mudaliar, had five children who had divided the property in 1960 through a mutual agreement. The three new claimants say they are related to one of Mudaliar’s sons and therefore hold a share in the property. They obtained a legal heirship certificate claiming to be the second wife and two children of one of the sons.
