The trailer for Lionsgate’s upcoming thriller Anniversary has been released, and it promises intense family drama mixed with suspense. Directed by Jan Komasa, the film stars Dylan O’Brien, Diane Lane, Kyle Chandler, and Phoebe Dynevor. It is scheduled to release in theaters on October 29, 2025.

The story follows Josh (played by Dylan O’Brien), a young man who shocks his family when he introduces his girlfriend Liz (Phoebe Dynevor). The twist is that Liz was once his mother Ellen’s (Diane Lane) student and carries a controversial past that makes everyone uncomfortable. Ellen immediately distrusts Liz and suspects her motives, believing she has attached herself to Josh for reasons beyond love.

Their tense exchanges suggest that the film will explore not just family disputes, but also deeper themes of trust, manipulation, and generational conflict.

The cast is packed with strong performers. Alongside Dylan O’Brien, Lane, and Dynevor, the film also features Kyle Chandler, Zoey Deutch, Madeline Brewer, McKenna Grace, and Daryl McCormack. With such a diverse ensemble, Anniversary is expected to deliver powerful performances.
Director Jan Komasa, best known for films like Corpus Christi, has worked with writer Lori Rosene-Gambino to shape the script.
