Popular Indian stand-up comedian Zakir Khan has created history by becoming the first comedian to host a show entirely in Hindi at the world-famous Madison Square Garden in New York. The event took place on August 17, 2025, and was completely sold out with an audience of more than 6,000 fans.

American comedian of Indian origin, Hasan Minhaj, attended the event and praised Zakir for this milestone. Sharing pictures with Zakir on social media, Hasan Minhaj described the evening as “a historic night for comedy around the world.” He admired Zakir’s unique style of combining storytelling with poetry, saying it takes comedy to a whole new level. Minhaj even joked that his parents love Zakir more than him.
Zakir Khan show was met with an overwhelming response. The audience gave him a standing ovation, showing their love and appreciation. This achievement is significant because Madison Square Garden is one of the most iconic venues for performers worldwide, and hosting a show in Hindi there marks a proud moment for Indian entertainment.
