The Maddock Horror Comedy Universe is back with a new film titled Thama. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the film stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Paresh Rawal in important roles. The makers revealed the first look posters of the lead characters on Monday evening, which immediately caught the attention of fans.
Mysterious first look of Thama cast out
In his poster, Ayushmann Khurrana appears as Alok, described as “the final hope for humanity.” He is shown in a dark outfit, giving a serious and determined look. Rashmika Mandanna plays Tadaka, called “the first ray of light.” Her look is vintage, with a classic dress and a hopeful expression.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui, known for his powerful performances, takes on the role of Yakshasan, referred to as “the king of darkness.” With long hair and a bat-like appearance, his look hints strongly at a vampire theme. Meanwhile, Paresh Rawal brings a comic touch as Mr. Ram Bajaj Goyal, a man who always tries to find tragedy in comedy.
The posters not only introduced the characters but also sparked discussions among fans. Some viewers noticed hidden details, including possible connections to Stree, the first film of this universe. This has raised curiosity about how Thama will link with the other movies in the Maddock Horror Comedy series.

The Maddock Horror Comedy Universe began with Stree in 2018, followed by Bhediya in 2022 and Munjya in 2024. Stree 2 also released in 2024 and became a huge hit, collecting more than ₹850 crore worldwide. Now, Thama is set to continue this popular franchise.
The film is scheduled for a grand Diwali release. Before that, the makers will unveil a special glimpse on 19 August at 11:11 AM. With a mix of horror, comedy, and a star-studded cast, Thama has already created strong excitement among audiences. Fans are eager to see how this new story will expand the spooky yet funny world of Maddock’s horror comedy films.
