After the massive success of Pushpa 2, Allu Arjun is now working on his next big film, directed by Tamil filmmaker Atlee. The movie, currently titled AA22xA6, is shaping up to be a high-budget sci-fi fantasy action drama. It is produced by Sun Pictures and is already being called one of the most ambitious films in Indian cinema.
Ramya Krishnan joins Allu Arjun’s AA22xA6 film
The film’s female lead has been confirmed as Deepika Padukone. Earlier rumors suggested that actresses like Mrunal Thakur, Rashmika Mandanna, and Janhvi Kapoor might also have important roles. Now, reports confirm that veteran actress Ramya Krishnan has joined the cast. This will mark her first collaboration with both Allu Arjun and Atlee together. Ramya Krishnan is best known for her legendary role as Sivagami in SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali series, and fans are excited to see her in this new universe.

Filming for AA22xA6 began in June 2025 and is currently happening in Mumbai. Portions featuring Allu Arjun and Mrunal Thakur are already being shot. Ramya Krishnan is expected to join the sets in the upcoming schedules. The shooting is expected to continue until early 2026, and the film is scheduled for a worldwide release in late 2026.
Atlee is reportedly pushing beyond his usual style of filmmaking. The movie is said to be heavily based on visual effects and is set in a parallel universe. Hollywood stunt director Spiro Razatos, known for his work in Fast & Furious 9, Civil War, and Jawan, has been brought on board for action sequences. Leading VFX studios from Los Angeles are also part of the project to create stunning visuals. Music for the film is composed by Sai Abhyankkar.
