Movie fans are in for a treat this Independence Day weekend. On August 14, theatres will witness two big releases Rajinikanth’s much-awaited Coolie and the star-packed War 2 featuring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani. But that’s not all. Reports say audiences will also get to watch the very first teaser of Baahubali: The Epic during these screenings.
Baahubali Teaser To Release With Coolie, War 2
According to a report by Gulte, the teaser will be shown to viewers who watch either Coolie or War 2. The upcoming film is directed by SS Rajamouli and is described as a combined version of the two blockbuster movies Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion. It’s being released to celebrate 10 years since the first Baahubali film.

Rajamouli announced the project on July 10 through a post on X (formerly Twitter). He wrote that Baahubali was the start of many journeys and countless memories, and that this special anniversary would be marked with Baahubali: The Epic, a two-part combined film. It will hit theatres worldwide on October 31, 2025. The movie will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi, featuring the original cast Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, and Tamannaah Bhatia.

Meanwhile, early box office numbers show that Coolie is leading in ticket sales. Data from Sacnilk reveals that the Rajinikanth film has already earned ₹10.26 crore from 4.91 lakh tickets sold for Day 1. Most of this comes from the Tamil version, with ₹10 crore from 4.88 lakh tickets. The Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada versions have added smaller amounts.
On the other hand, War 2 is also seeing strong demand, especially in premium formats like IMAX. The film has collected ₹34.34 lakh so far from 9,295 tickets. The Hindi 2D format leads the sales, followed by Tamil and Telugu versions. The Hindi IMAX 2D version has made ₹87,360 from just 97 tickets.
With Coolie, War 2, and the first glimpse of Baahubali: The Epic, August 14 promises to be an exciting day for cinema lovers.
