Hombale Films producer Chaluve Gowda has confirmed that the production house will soon be working with Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan. He also addressed the recent discussions about the success of their animated film Mahavatar Narsimha and its effect on the collections of another hit film, Saiyaara.
Chaluve Gowda Confirms Film with Hrithik Roshan
The press meet for Mahavatar Narsimha’s success was held at Mumbai’s ISKCON Temple, instead of a usual five-star hotel. Director Ashwin Kumar, producer Shilpaa Dhawan, Chaluve Gowda, and well-known distributor Anil Thadani attended the event.

Speaking about the film’s performance, Chaluve Gowda explained that the story of Mahavatar Narsimha was not new. It had been shown before in movies like Bhakta Prahlada (1967) and in Kannada films featuring Dr. Rajkumar. However, he said the unique animation especially in the final 20–25 minutes made the film feel almost like a live-action movie.
“This made the film different. It was not just for children,” Gowda said. “We had confidence in it. Our aim was never to take away the success of other films. But the content was so strong that it naturally attracted the audience. Also, those other films had already done good business and were starting to slow down in collections.”

Looking ahead, Chaluve Gowda shared updates on Hombale Films’ upcoming projects. The much-awaited Kantara: Chapter 1 will release on October 2, followed by Salaar Part 2: Shauryanga Parvam. They have also signed two more movies with superstar Prabhas and, for the first time, a project with Hrithik Roshan, which is currently in its early stages.
Apart from these, Hombale Films is developing a few more projects, details of which will be revealed later. “We are very excited about the future,” Gowda added.
With Mahavatar Narsimha breaking expectations for an animated devotional film, and multiple big projects in the pipeline, Hombale Films seems set to continue delivering major hits in the coming years.
