Hakla Shah Rukh Khan Meme Resurfaces Again, Goes Viral Despite Multiple Takedown Attempts Online

A viral meme known as the “Hakla Shah Rukh Khan” meme has once again taken over social media. The meme, which mocks Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s famous stammering dialogue “K-K-K-Kiran” from the 1993 film Darr, has become a trending topic. Even though Shah Rukh Khan’s team has tried several times to get it removed from platforms, the meme keeps coming back in new forms.

Hakla Shah Rukh Khan Meme Goes Viral Again

This meme originally started about ten years ago through a parody video. It featured a cartoon-style image of a man with a strange hairstyle and SRK’s stuttering expression. The word “hakla,” which means “stammerer” in Hindi, is used in a joking way in the meme. Though it first came and went quietly, the meme became popular again recently thanks to meme pages and social media users sharing funny GIFs and edited clips.

Reports say that Shah Rukh Khan’s team took action against the meme in 2024. Instagram even deleted the original meme for violating rules related to bullying. However, fans found creative ways to bring it back. They started using different spellings like “H@kl@” or even ASCII (keyboard art) to avoid detection and keep the meme alive.

The meme’s return has also led to similar jokes about other celebrities. For example, Salman Khan was turned into “Suja Salman,” and Akshay Kumar became “Banana Akki.” Even political leaders weren’t spared, as memes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi labeled as “Sai NaMo” also went viral. Fans are calling this trend “Hakla Never Dies,” and it’s become a symbol of how internet content is almost impossible to fully remove once it’s out there.
