Popular TV show Kumkum Bhagya may soon go off-air after running successfully for more than 10 years. According to reports, the final episode of the show will be telecast on September 7, 2025. This news has come as a big shock to fans who have followed the show since it first aired in 2014 on Zee TV.
Kumkum Bhagya May End Soon Due to TRPs
Produced by Ektaa Kapoor, Kumkum Bhagya started with the love story of Pragya (played by Sriti Jha) and Abhishek (played by Shabir Ahluwalia). Their story became very popular and won many hearts. Later, the show introduced new characters like Prachi–Ranbir, RK–Poorvi, and most recently, a fourth-generation couple played by Pranali Rathore and Namik Paul.

Even though the new pair was liked by some viewers, the show’s TRP (Television Rating Point) started falling in recent months. The makers were given two options by the channel – either end the show or move it to the 7 PM time slot. Ektaa Kapoor chose to end the show rather than change the time.
Many fans are sad and disappointed by this decision. On social media, some viewers are expressing their emotions, saying they still enjoy the new season. One user wrote, “But why so? I like the new season.” Another user added, “The channel is not even able to digest 1.3 TRP.”
