Veteran actress Shabana Azmi recently talked about her much-discussed kissing scene with Dharmendra in the film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Speaking about it in a recent interview, Shabana said with a smile, “It was over in a second.” She played the character of Jamini Chatterjee, a graceful and emotionally deep woman in the film.

Shabana Azmi also praised her younger co-stars Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. She described Alia as emotionally strong and said she truly captured the struggles of a modern Indian woman. About Ranveer, she said he did a brilliant job playing Rocky, a lively and dramatic character. She admired how he worked hard on his accent and didn’t let the role turn into a joke.
The actress also shared what it was like working with director Karan Johar. She said she had some doubts at first, especially about the costumes. She asked Karan why her Bengali character was cooking in a silk saree with open hair. Karan replied, “In my film, she will.” She laughed and said she trusted his vision completely and just went with it.
