Two big Bollywood films – Son of Sardaar 2 and Dhadak 2 are all set to release on 1st August 2025. As fans gear up for this exciting clash, actresses Mrunal Thakur and Triptii Dimri are showing nothing but love and support for each other.
Mrunal Thakur and Triptii Share Wishes Before Film Clash
Mrunal Thakur, who stars in Son of Sardaar 2, took to Instagram and shared a heartwarming message. She wished the entire Dhadak 2 team all the best and said it’s a very exciting week for both films. She added that she could hardly wait and was looking forward to the audience’s love for both releases.

Triptii Dimri, the lead actress in Dhadak 2, responded with an equally sweet message. She wished Mrunal and her team the best and hoped that both films would receive all the love they deserve.
Son of Sardaar 2 was earlier planned for release on 25th July, but the makers postponed it just a few days before. Now, the movie will release on 1st August alongside Dhadak 2. Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, Son of Sardaar 2 has a powerful cast including Ajay Devgn, Ravi Kishan, Mrunal Thakur, Sanjay Mishra, and many others.

On the other hand, Dhadak 2 is a fresh love story starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri. Directed by Shazia Iqbal and produced by Karan Johar, the film tells the story of Vidhi and Nilesh, two young lovers from different castes who face challenges in their relationship. The film is inspired by the Tamil movie Pariyerum Perumal.
Both actresses are also busy with other big projects. Triptii will soon be seen in Vishal Bhardwaj’s next film with Shahid Kapoor, and in Spirit opposite Prabhas.
Even though their films are competing at the box office, Mrunal and Triptii have shown that there’s room for kindness and support in Bollywood. Fans are now eagerly waiting to see how both films perform when they hit theatres on the same day.
