Pawan Kalyan’s much-awaited film Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 released with high expectations on Thursday. It had a strong start with ₹34.75 crore on its first day. The total collection also included ₹12.75 crore from special preview shows held on Wednesday. But unfortunately, the film could not maintain the same momentum in the following days.

On Friday, the film faced a huge drop of 76.98%, earning only ₹8 crore. Saturday collections were a little better at ₹9.25 crore, bringing the total collection to ₹64.75 crore. Trade experts believe that Sunday’s numbers might also be on the lower side due to mixed reviews and political controversies.

The film has been surrounded by political talk, which may have affected its performance. Fans and leaders from Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party (JSP) have requested people not to bring politics into the film’s discussion.

Hari Hara Veera Mallu is a historical action drama directed by Jyothi Krishna and Krish Jagarlamudi. The story follows Veera Mallu, a brave outlaw who fights against injustice. Bobby Deol plays the villain, portraying Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. Niddhi Agerwal is the female lead, with a strong supporting cast that includes Anupam Kher, Jisshu Sengupta, Nargis Fakhri, and others.

The movie features music by Oscar-winner M.M. Keeravani, cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa, and art direction by veteran Thota Tharani. The film is produced by AM Rathnam under Mega Sura Production.

Critics have said that the first half of the movie feels slow, though the music and action scenes are highlights. A wrestling sequence and an 18-minute action stretch in the second half were appreciated by fans of Pawan Kalyan. However, the overall storyline and screenplay have not impressed all viewers.

While the film had a grand opening, the sharp drop in collections shows that audience response has been mixed. Now all eyes are on how it performs over the weekend and whether it can recover in the coming days.
