Director Mohit Suri is enjoying the huge success of his latest film Saiyaara, which has earned over ₹100 crore worldwide. The film, starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has received a great response from both fans and critics. While Mohit is busy celebrating Saiyaara, he also took a moment to wish actor Kartik Aaryan and director Anurag Basu all the best for their upcoming project.

Interestingly, Mohit Suri was first attached to this musical romantic film, which was rumored to be Aashiqui 3. However, he later stepped away from the project. Anurag Basu then took over as the director. The film is expected to release during Diwali this year and also stars actress Sreeleela.

In a recent interview, Mohit said there is no fight between him and Anurag Basu. He shared that Anurag is someone he has worked under in the past and respects deeply. Mohit said, “I call him Dada. I look up to him and I wish them all the best. Honestly, I don’t even know if they are still making Aashiqui 3.”
Talking about the Aashiqui film series, Mohit said that Aashiqui 2 was special not just because of the story, but also because of the people who worked on it like music directors Mithoon, Ankit Tiwari, and actors Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor. Most importantly, he mentioned filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, who supported him and helped him make the film. “If Bhatt saab is not part of it, then it doesn’t feel like Aashiqui to me,” Mohit added.

Meanwhile, Anurag Basu recently praised Saiyaara on social media. He called it Mohit’s best work so far and said the film made him emotional. With both directors showing mutual respect, fans are excited to see what Anurag and Kartik bring to the screen next.
