Vijay and Nithya have worked together before in the 2022 Malayalam film 19(1)(a). Speaking about their latest collaboration, Vijay said, “We had always wanted to work together again. When Thalaivan Thalaivii came our way, it felt like the perfect story for both of us.”

The movie is directed by Pandiraj and is expected to be a mix of drama, comedy, and emotional ups and downs in a relationship. It tells the story of a married couple who run a restaurant together. Things start well, but soon problems appear in their relationship. A sign reading “The place is closed due to unresolved argument” adds an emotional twist to the storyline. The trailer hints at a film full of love, laughter, and heartfelt moments.
The film also has a strong supporting cast including Yogi Babu, Chemban Vinod Jose, Saravanan, RK Suresh, Kaali Venkat, and others. It is produced by Sendhil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan under the banner of Sathya Jyothi Films. Santhosh Narayanan is handling the music, M. Sukumar is behind the camera, and Pradeep E. Ragav is the editor.
