Yash Raj Films (YRF) has taken a fresh approach in promoting their new film Saiyaara, and it’s getting attention from big names in Bollywood. Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta recently praised the production house for using a smart and low-key strategy to promote the movie.

Directed by Mohit Suri, Saiyaara stars newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. The film released on July 18, 2025, and despite having very little media presence or pre-release hype, it had a strong opening at the box office.
Sanjay Gupta took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to call the promotion strategy “genius.” He praised YRF for not overloading audiences with interviews, public appearances, and podcasts before the release. According to him, this helped keep the freshness of the lead actors alive, and audiences got to see them for the first time directly on the big screen.

Gupta wrote, “Whoever took the decision at YRF to keep the lead pair of Saiyaara away from all the pre-release interviews, appearances, and podcasts is a genius. They kept alive the freshness exclusively for the big screen. And look at how it’s worked.”
The film tells the story of Krish, played by Ahaan Panday, an aspiring singer, and Vaani, played by Aneet Padda, a talented lyricist who writes for his character. Their love story is filled with emotion, music, and dreams.
Not only did the film receive good reviews, but it also broke records with advance ticket bookings. The romantic drama has been appreciated for its soulful music and heartfelt performances.

With this success, YRF’s quiet and focused strategy may become a new trend in Bollywood. Instead of loud and busy promotions, the focus is now shifting towards storytelling and screen impact. Saiyaara marks a strong debut for both Ahaan and Aneet, and it looks like the film is only going to grow more popular in the coming days.
