Vidya Malavade Pens Emotional Tribute Remembering Husband Lost in 2000 Plane Crash Tragedy

Actor Vidya Malavade recently shared an emotional note on Instagram, remembering her first husband, Captain Arvind Singh Bagga, who died in a tragic plane crash 25 years ago. The actress opened up about her deep pain and memories, especially after a recent Air India plane crash reminded her of her personal loss.

Vidya Malavade Remembers Husband Lost in Crash

Vidya was just 27 years old when she lost her husband in the 2000 Alliance Air crash in Patna. They had only been married for three years. In her Instagram post, Vidya wrote about how much she still misses him even after so many years. She expressed how it’s been 25 years since she last saw him, held his hand, or laughed with him.

She wrote, “Some connections live beyond this life. Rest in peace, my beloved.” Her words reflected how the loss shaped her life and taught her the value of every moment. She urged people to hold their loved ones close and cherish them.

The recent Air India crash on 12 June 2025, which killed 242 people, brought back painful memories for Vidya. In her post, she admitted how the news deeply affected her and brought back every detail of the day she lost Arvind.

Despite the grief, Vidya also spoke about healing. She said that she learned to live life with surrender and gratitude. She believes her late husband is still her guardian angel, guiding her through life.

Vidya Malavade later married director Sanjay Dayma in 2009. She began her film career in 2003 and rose to fame in 2007 with Chak De! India, alongside Shah Rukh Khan. Her story is a reminder of love, loss, and the strength to move forward while keeping memories alive.
