Police were alerted by neighbors who noticed a strong smell coming from her apartment and had not seen any activity from her for several days. When officers arrived at the scene around 3 p.m., they knocked multiple times. After getting no response, they broke open the door and found Humaira’s lifeless body inside.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Syed Asad Raza confirmed the discovery and said that Humaira, believed to be between 30 and 35 years old, had been living alone in the apartment for the past seven years. The police have not confirmed the exact cause of her death yet. At this stage, they are treating it as a possible natural death, but they are waiting for the post-mortem report before drawing any conclusions.
The body was sent to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for examination. Dr. Summaiya Syed, who is handling the autopsy, stated that the body was badly decomposed, making it difficult to determine the exact cause of death. She added that further medical analysis would be needed.

Police have urged the public and media not to spread rumors or make assumptions until the investigation is completed. They assured that a formal inquiry is underway and forensic teams have collected evidence from the apartment.
