Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has officially confirmed that he is starting work on his dream project, a film series based on the Indian epic Mahabharat. In a recent interview, Aamir said the project will begin in August 2025 and will not feature any known actors. He wants to cast new and fresh faces because he believes the story itself should be the biggest star.

Aamir explained that Mahabharat is very close to his heart, just like some of his past films such as Lagaan, Rang De Basanti, and Taare Zameen Par. He said once a story gets into his blood, he cannot ignore it. The idea of telling Mahabharat has stayed with him for years, and now he feels ready to bring it to life.

The actor also spoke about the success of his recent movie Sitaare Zameen Par. Even though some people advised him not to make such an emotional film after Laal Singh Chaddha didn’t do well, he followed his heart. He said Sitaare Zameen Par has deeply touched the audience and he is proud of it.
In the same interview, Aamir Khan opened up about his relationship with Gauri Spratt. He said they are in a serious and committed relationship. Although they have not officially married, Aamir said he already feels married to her “in his heart.” He added that they will decide about a formal marriage in the future.
