The popular Indian web series Panchayat has returned with a bang. Season 4, which premiered on June 24, 2025, on Amazon Prime Video, has become the biggest hit of the series so far. It not only received a strong response in India but also gained popularity worldwide. The show trended in over 42 countries including the USA, Canada, UK, and Australia, and was streamed in more than 180 countries during its first week.
Panchayat Season 5 Confirmed After Record Success
Due to the massive success of Season 4, Prime Video has officially announced that Panchayat will return for Season 5 in 2026. The announcement came with the caption, “Hi 5 Phulera wapas aane ki taiyyaari shuru kar lijiye,” which means, “Get ready to return to Phulera.”

Manish Menghani, the content head at Prime Video India, shared that they are thrilled with the response and the global love for the show. He added that Panchayat has become a global phenomenon because of its heartfelt storytelling and simple characters that connect with audiences across the world.
Vijay Koshy, President of The Viral Fever (TVF), which produces the show, also expressed his happiness. He said the series showcases the charm and humor of rural India in a beautiful and relatable way. He thanked the cast, crew, and fans for their love and support.

Panchayat is created by Deepak Kumar Mishra and Chandan Kumar. It features a talented cast including Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Faisal Malik, and Sanvikaa, among others. The story follows the life of an engineering graduate who becomes a Panchayat secretary in a village called Phulera.
