In the video, Kanwaljit says, “Off to Colombo. Will bana di hai” (I have made my will). He was seen smiling, but the message carried a deeper meaning. It showed that while he still trusted the airline, he was also aware of the risk many now feel after the tragedy.

The crash of Air India flight AI171, a London-bound flight, happened on June 12, 2025. The plane crashed into a building shortly after takeoff, killing 241 people. Only one passenger survived with minor injuries. This incident created fear among passengers and damaged trust in Air India.
Despite the tragedy, Kanwaljit and other celebrities like Raveena Tandon and Vir Das have shown public support for the airline. Raveena had earlier posted on Instagram about her experience flying Air India, calling it a moment of “new beginnings” and offering condolences to the victims’ families. She also praised the crew for remaining calm and respectful in such difficult times.

Comedian Vir Das also defended the airline, stating that although Air India has its issues, the crew members are among the best in the sky. He emphasized his personal trust in the airline, as he has flown with them many times.
