Actor Puneet Issar recently praised Bollywood star Sunny Deol for his royal travel habits and professional attitude. In an interview with YouTuber Siddharth Kannan, Issar shared how Sunny travels with luxury but always takes care not to burden film producers financially.
Sunny Deol Travels Royally, Never Burdens Producers
Puneet said that Sunny Deol has been traveling in style since the 1997 movie Border. He travels with his own gym equipment, cooks, and even a setup for playing badminton. Puneet added, “Sunny travels like a king. He brings everything with him his food, his gym, and even extra space for others’ luggage if needed. But he never asks producers to pay for these things.”

In today’s Bollywood, one big issue is the rising cost of film production due to actors’ large entourages. Some stars travel with dozens of staff, including fitness trainers, chefs, and personal assistants. This often increases the budget of the film. But according to Issar, Sunny Deol is different. He manages all his travel and lifestyle costs himself. “That’s why I called him a king,” Puneet said. “Even Salman Khan is like that. These stars take their health seriously but don’t pass the costs to producers.”
Issar also explained that having a big team is nothing new in Bollywood. In earlier days, legends like Rajesh Khanna, Dharmendra, and Shatrughan Sinha also traveled with large groups. It was part of the star lifestyle, but many managed their own costs.

Sunny Deol was last seen in the action film Jaat, released on April 10, 2025. The movie did very well at the box office and was directed by Gopichand Malineni in his Hindi debut.
